Street Football Wales organise the Welsh Homeless International Teams 'The Welsh Dragons (male) & the Welsh Warriors (female)'.The international teams aim to use the positive power of football to raise the profile of homelessness on a global stage and challenge the perceptions of homeless people.
Since our involvement in the inaugural Homeless World Cup (2003) SFW has fully believed in the ethos that players should not just be selected with a view to winning but players that are eligible and can be moulded into a team with potential for winning should be the priority.
SFW Players are only selected if they meet the eligibility criteria and display good attitude; attendance, commitment, benefit to life, effort and ability to be a team player, tolerance of others and progress of personal development both on and off the pitch and this scores as highly as football ability.
We aim to create a spark in someone that will return from the HWC wanting to move on and improve their situation.

We would like to congratulate everyone from the volunteers to the coaching staff and even the players for their achievements on and off the pitch.
